Lightweights (Peach, Toad, and Yoshi)

Fully useful on both 3laps and flaps

Bowser

Mostly useful on flaps (WS, DKJP, and LR), some players use him on the spiral shortcut of Rainbow Road

Mario

Moderately useful on 3laps (WS and DKJP) and rarely flaps (CM and RRd)

Luigi

Rarely useful on 3laps (WS and DKJP)

Wario

Not useful...some players use him on the spiral shortcut of Rainbow Road and beginners use him on Wario Stadium shortcut

Donkey Kong

Not useful...some players use him on Wario Stadium shortcut

Conclusion

Triple Tap A

Toad > Yoshi > Peach > Bowser > Wario > Donkey Kong > Luigi > Mario

Toad has the fastest Triple Tapping A ability and Mario is the worst but however Mario/Luigi has better handling & off road acceleration than Bowser.

Donkey Kong and Wario has slower speed than Bowser and Luigi

Useful Characters for Shortcut

Toad = Yoshi = Peach > Bowser = Mario > Luigi > Wario = DK

The Lightweights are more useful on shortcuts, Bowser and Mario are mostly for occasions, and Luigi is more useful than DK and Wario. However, some karters achieve flap WRs SC (Wario Stadium mostly) using Bowser.
