I'm just getting started on this to see how to add to groups, etc., so bear with me for a few!
Octo here; For those of you who dont know who I am in the elite, or who I am as a person, give my bio a quick read!
Gaming accomplishments, etc:
One of the first 20 members of the elite, joined in Summer 2000. Why am I not on the ranks now? Um, moving on.. ;)
Completion of Ch30 3p with only myself playing (2nd worldwide, videotaped and somewhere with Chris Rayola after an ancient server crash)
One of the fastest Mario Karters to reach legend (under 2 months), overshadowed by eliter Greg Lewis this summer. Currently reside at LegendC, rank 40-50ish. Have an extensive video database of practically all PRs (less VHS required runs)
Creation of Challenge Elite and Majora's Mask rankings (as well as ExciteBike, which flopped)
General Chat Pioneer, with some odd thousands of posts
Created "Post new WRs here" topic, still running as the largest topic at the elite today!
And lastly, I suck, royally, at Goldeneye. But I'm somewhere on the ranks, dont go searching too hard though. If you do, read from the bottom up
Personal:
I try to hang around chat a lot, but outside of the old school and chat community, a lot of people might not know who I really am! I'm a math student at UCSD (like UCLA, but san diego) and spend most of my free time casually gaming, playing guitar and spending time with my girlfriend Sarah, of 3 years. My biggest hobby is probably music writing and guitar work - this summer I am recording an album with a drummer driving down from NorCal. I play a lot of styles, but my own work is progressive rock. I try to write music that can stand alone in concert with just a guitar and drummer, I'm not so hot at writing bass lines. Sticking with my uber-nerd roots, however, I'm working toward becoming a math PhD, maybe be a professor or research somewhere, we'll see what comes along in the future.
