Super Mario Kart

Super Mario Kart is the first video game in the Mario Kart series, released in September of 1992 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The popular series continued with Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, Mario Kart DS, and Mario Kart Wii.

The Super Mario Kart World Records Site is the leading time trial competition site for this game. The Super Mario Kart Time Trial World Records site was founded by Sami Cetin in November 1998 and has been maintained and updated on a weekly basis ever since. Sami was also the Time Trial World Champion from September 1998 until April 2004. Following that Pierre L'Hoest of France became Time Trial World Champion, and later Karel van Duijvenboden took the Time Trial World Title for PAL and NTSC.
