Guardian Legend is a SHUMP released in April of 1989 by Compile for the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Speedrun
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Guardian Legend competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game GL speedrun is 1 hour and 3 minutes, achieved by Tom "rdrunner" Votava on September 20th, 2005.
