One of the few 'cheap' levels. Forget using the springs. To get the best time you should smash yourself around the last corner and then into the goal. It may take a bit of practise to only need to hit the wall once, but it is possible. You will do better if you get a good hit against the wall, rather than trying to avoid it.
Of course you will need to complete the level once the proper way to get the star.
