The 2004 Elite Summer Contest was known as The Segregated Edition. 2004 differed from the previous Elite Summer Contest in that Contestants were divided into four Divisions: Old School, New School, Goldeneye, and Perfect Dark.

The Contest kicked off at midnight EST on Tuesday, June 1st of 2004. To vote, Eliters sent the name of their daily choice to Ngamer over AOL Instant Messenger at ImNgamer. To be eligable to vote, one of two conditions had to be met:

* Membership in the Goldeneye or Perfect Dark Elites.
* 100 posts on The Elite message boards.
