Metroid Fusion is an Action/Platformer released in November of 2002 by Nintendo for the GameBoy Advance. The series continued with Metroid Zero Mission.
Speedruns
The Speed Demos Archive hosts Metroid Fusion competition. The current proven World Record for a complete-game Metroid Fusion speedrun is 50 minutes, achieved by Matthew "Wassup Dawgs" Beach on June 26th, 2004. The best single-segement run was completed in 51 minutes by Mark "Kridly" Meisner on November 25th of 2004. The fastest 100% single-segment is 1 hour and 13 minutes, also by Wassup Dawgs, while the best 1% run on record is Damien "Dragondarch" Moody's 1 hour and 6 minute run.
