'''Nicola Gatti''' is an Italian Mario Kart player, born 23th August 1994.

He began to play competetively when MKDS came out, together with his friends [[Fabio Sacco]], [[Iacopo Sorce]] and [[Ludovico Vittorio]].

He started playing videogames early; after playing Super Smash Bros. Melee's Single Player (especially Target Test) when he was 9, he decided to start time trialing in [[Mario Kart DS]] when it came out, together with his friends [[Fabio Sacco]], [[Iacopo Sorce]] and [[Ludovico Vittorio]].

He has been an anonymous karter (except among Italian karters) until March 2006, when he got his first MK WR, that being [[Baby Park]]'s [[fast lap]] (stolen from Fabio and then tied by [[Giulio Centrone]], first Italian WR tie in a Mario Kart game). Later, he became (and still is) a MKDS' site time updater, and also helped creating some italian pages in the site.

He has been a mid-level player for much time, even if he got a WR for some hours (Baby Park fast lap; he was the first to sub 8"400). When he decided to spend a lot of his (lot of) free time on time trialing at the start of 2007, he quickly climbed up the charts, getting in top 10 at the start of 2008. After that strong period, he didn't play as much as before, but still managed to get good PRs to keep his position. He is currently ranked #11.

Nicola decided to focus on his [[Average Finish]] only in 2007: he rised the charts fastly and now is ranked #10 in NonPRB.

At the moment, he is playing both Super Smash Bros Brawl and [[Mario Kart Wii]], where he is trying to climb up the charts.

Nicola has also played other Mario Karts; he played [[Mario Kart 64]], [[Mario Kart Super Circuit]], [[Mario Kart Double Dash!!] and [[Mario Kart Wii] for some weeks, but he never decided to try to get strong on these games as well.

 

Other than karting, he is also a well-known poster on the Message Board, and he often visits IRC chan #mariokart.
