There are no good examples anymore of weaker records being worth more seconds than stronger ones.

For example, assume [[Frigate]] [[00 Agent]] 1:08 is a weaker world record than [[Streets]] [[Secret Agent]] 1:55, which, for all intensive purposes is a realistic assumption.  [[Rayan Isran]] gains three (3) MVP points for his Frigate record, while [[Goose|Ryan "The Sex Machine" White]] only gains one (1) MVP second for his Streets record.  Such a representation shows that better [[World Records]] are sometimes worth less MVP points than lesser World Records.

It is a completely objective ranking system and does show you who is contributing the most to lowering the total time, and thus encourages players to lower the total time objectively.  So it holds a lot of merit.  No rankings will satisfy everyone's opinion.  The-Elite rankings don't take into account the strength of a WR either.
