Edit for 2010: Matt hasn't been too active in the community as of late. He spent most of the last year creating a Super Mario Kart ROMhack called Super Mario Kart: Pro Edition, which can be found at http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/610/. Other than that, he is at the current time retired from Mario Kart other than playing Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 online.
