The [[Speed Demos Archive]] hosted Quake II competition for a time, but it kind of fizzled out in late 2000.  The current proven [[World Record]] for a complete-game Q2 speedrun on Hard mode is 21 minutes and 6 seconds, achieved by the [http://qdq.planetquake.gamespy.com/q2dq2.html Quake done Quick team].  The Easy mode WR is held by Colin "[[Colin Moore|Mr M]]" Moore, who finished the game in [http://www.liv.ac.uk/~me0u5040/Maddash2.zip 20 minutes and 33 seconds].
