The [[Speed Demos Archive]] hosts Pikmin competition.  Because many players have beaten the game in the minimum amount of time (9 in-game days), the challenge is to complete a "low %" run in that fastest time, meaning only 50 total pikmin are used.  Peter "[[Peter Branam-Lefkove|Dragorn]]" Branam-Lefkove completed this impressive feat on August 16th, 2004.
