He joined the MKDD Player's Page in October 2005, at #7 with 4 WRs. Because of his ery high debut and lack of proof, he was met with doubt and quickly removed from the rankings. A few weeks later, he returned with a set of videos to prove his talents, and was placed at #5 in the rankings. He reached #2 by January, and briefly reached #1 in early Feb. [[Raphaël Ségas]] came back to defend his title, and reclaimed #1 within a week.

Hendrik and Raphaël then proceeded to swap the #1 position 5 more times between each other over the course of the next couple of months, with Hendrik taking the final exchange at the end of May Raphaël was known to be interested in [[MKDS]] at the same time). He then kept the title for a month, until [[Richard Karlsson]] burst into the scene and interrupted their game of tag.

Hendrik passed Richard to take the title again after spending 22 days in the second spot. At the time of this writing, he has held the title for a combined period of almost 70 days.

Hendrik and Richard then battle with each other over the next few years, with occasional interruptions from [[Vincent van der Fluit]] and [[Aron Langerak]]. Hendrik as been champion on 15 separate occasions, and as of 15 April 2009 is tied with Richard are currently tied for the #1 spot. He has held the title for a combined period of 735 days, and is top the all time list of players who spent the most time as #1. When the split rankings were introduced at the start of 2007, Hendrik started playing 60Hz and reached #1 in December 2007. It only lasted a few months, however, before [[Marijn Jongbloed]] burst onto the 60Hz scene and took the title off him in February 2008. Hendrik is currently ranked #3 in 60Hz, behind Marijn and Aron, but no longer has any 60Hz WRs.

 

There was rumour that Hendrik may have been a frustrated-[[Marius Mollenhauer]], playing in 50Hz, to compete with the many top 50Hz players. This was not far-fetched, as Marius was the only person to have contact with Hendrik. But Hendrik created a forum account and posted several times, removing most of the doubt. Despite how quiet and distant he is, he is well-liked by much of the community. If he does overcome Richard, there have been suggestions that Raphaël will return to MKDD, no doubt resulting in more heated battles for the championship.
