Bongo Bongo

Phantom Shadow Beast: Bongo Bongo is the seventh boss in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is the boss of the Shadow Temple.

Speed strategy

On a speedrun, you will probably be fighting this fight without the aid of the Lens of Truth. This sounds like it would make shooting Bongo Bongo's invisible red eye impossible but actually it isn't. Simply aim directly between the two fists as they rush towards you across the drum, and just as they disappear off each side of your screen, fire. Bongo Bongo should drop, stunned, right in front you. The closer in front of you the better because you have more time to run in and attack him. The fastest way to damage him is to do a jumping attack and then use the Power Crouch Stab.
